With FFCoder you can encode video and audio files to the format you want – and there are more than 40 formats to choose from. Or to put it in other words, you can use FFCoder to convert audio and video files to any of the output formats this tool supports. In just three simple steps you can take an MP4 and turn it into an MKV for example.

FFCoder is available as an installer and as a portable version. The installer will offer to download NeroAAC codec, install Avisynth, and install Haali Media Splitter. The portable version will not; if you want these extra components, you will have to get them yourself.

The interface is just what you would expect from an application of this type. The media files you want to convert are presented front and center on the interface; buttons to set up the conversion parameters are presented all around. Overall, it is a simple interface and I’m sure you’ll find it very easy to navigate.

I mentioned above that you can convert an MP4 to MKV for example, in three simple steps:
Step 1 – load the MP4 file(s) you want to convert.
Step 2 – select MKV as the output format, pick the output folder, play with a few extra conversion parameters if you want to.
Step 3 – launch the conversion process and wait for it to complete.

As you can see, it’s quite easy to use FFCoder to convert videos from one format to another. There are a few more things that must be said about FFCoder’s functionality: it provides support for lots of presets; it provides support for lots of output formats; it features a directory watch mode that monitors folders and automatically converts files placed inside monitored folders; it features a subtitle time correction tool; it can edit and crop videos; it can extract video, audio and images from video.

FFCoder is free for personal use. If you need technical support or any other type of help, you can purchase a support license. If you need to use FFCoder for commercial purposes, you can get a commercial license.

FFCoder helps you quickly and easily convert videos and audio files. This is an easy to use tool that comes packed with lots of useful features!

Pros

FFCoder is available as an installer and as a portable version. The interface is just what you would expect from an application of this type; you will immediately feel at home with the interface. Lots of presets are supported; lots of output formats are supported. There’s a handy directory watch mode. Using FFCoder is a fairly simple 3-step process. FFCoder is free for personal, non-commercial use.

Cons

None that I could think of.
